Stephenson Halliday is looking for a tenacious, high calibre Senior Landscape Architect to join their growing team nationwide. This is a full-time, permanent role, but Stephenson Halliday would consider those seeking part-time opportunities. Hybrid working options are available, with particular interest for candidates commutable to Hemel Hempstead. You will be joining a senior landscape team that has an extensive and very successful track record of providing expert witness services at DCO examinations and public inquires, securing consents for a wide range development types across the UK.
We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience in renewables (solar/ battery storage), residential / commercial property, health/education, other infrastructure projects and strategic landscape planning
With offices across the UK, the team includes experienced planning and landscape directors, chartered landscape architects, chartered planners, environmental coordinators, and graphics specialists who provide clients with effective and sustainable solutions to help them achieve their goals. The multidisciplinary firm works in a variety of industries and offers professional services in four broad categories: planning, environmental impact assessment (EIA), landscape, and graphics. Nature-based solutions and landscape-led regenerative design are incorporated into landscape, research, and planning projects, including those in protected and sensitive landscapes. To improve green infrastructure and the built environment, we can draw on the expertise of our Building with Nature Approved Assessor and qualified Green Flag Award judges. Stephenson Halliday has a strong track record of obtaining planning permission at all project scales, from national infrastructure projects to small-scale local proposals, with design solutions that enhance not only the physical place but also the experience of our built environment and, ultimately, local communities.

Person Specification

Experience undertaking landscape planning / LVIA for renewables projects (wind energy / solar farm / battery storage), Experience of landscape planning / LVIA for other infrastructure projects (e.g. residential, commercial, mixed use, road, rail, energy distribution & transmission, water)

Excellent report writing skills.
