We are now recruiting for a Workshop Controller/Administrator to join our Internal Service department. You will efficiently control and allocate vehicle maintenance/repairs including all associated administrative duties to include pre-delivery prep of new and used sales vehicles.
The main duties of the role are:
- To issue work in line with technical skills available, updating job cards
- To control the work at each stage of the repair and maintain timely and regular communications with internal customers
- Supervise Technicians and monitor efficiency, productivity, and utilisation
- To prepare warranty claims for submission to the manufacturer
- Carry out all invoicing/costing and associated admin duties within the department
- Control parts orders where vehicles are on site and advise all parties of any delays
- To control all sublet purchases and registers and to assist in the reconciliation of the sublet account at the end of each month
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting procedures
To effective in this role, you will have significant experience within the automotive industry and have knowledge of workshop management systems with the ability to monitor, understand and respond proactively to KPI’s ensuring optimum performance. You will have previous workshop administration and management experience, have excellent organisational skills and be able to work effectively under pressure. Kerridge and Ford/Peugeot warranty experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Hours of work are Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm and the salary is £25-28k DOE.
