Job information
These are exciting times at Clifton Media Lab and we are looking for a committed and hard-working team member to join us to extend our engagement with our audience and support our teams. The person selected for the role will help devise and implement processes to develop and extend our contact with our readership across all our titles and business verticals.
You will be expected to work closely with the editorial and sales team members to help create, implement and deliver a comms and editorial strategy that will build on our current content and generate further traffic to our websites. You will also support the editorial team in delivering relevant content via a mix of coordinated guest contributions, commissioned articles, news, and interviews.
You will work as part of our team to communicate and engage our network of contacts across all verticals which will help facilitate a constant flow of interesting content on the websites.
You will also be taking the lead in managing the social media accounts for all titles and developing relationships with the readership as a result. Therefore strong social media knowledge, experience with comms, audience engagement and a broad range of digital skills are required.
This job is 100% remote.
What you’ll be doing:
Your core task is to assist the editorial teams to maximise the impact of their content across all channels. As ours is a small team you will also be expected to also help write and upload content to the websites. Primarily though, you will take the lead on managing the audience engagement and communication on our social media channels, thereby maximising the flow of traffic to the websites.
Confidence and experience in using WordPress, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram as well as SEO are essential. You will be expected to complete weekly and monthly informal reports on Google analytics data for dissemination to the teams, to help monitor what our readers are finding interesting and informative so we can further develop and engage them in such areas. You’ll also be collating the key MI data for the team to analyse the impact of content on social media sites.
You will also work with our Technical Sales and Marketing Team to help optimise and coordinate commercial content for clients.
This is a remote position so your time keeping, ability to manage your outputs and your organisation skills are paramount. Working within the industries that we do, we take immense pride in the quality and professionalism of the services and the content we provide for our readers and clients and we expect our team members to reflect this in all their communications whether formal or informal.
About You
Preferably educated to degree level, you’ll be a strong communicator, well versed in getting the best out of social media and with experience in writing for websites and digital content. You will be confident working independently with SEO, WordPress and across social media channels.
