Position Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineering Manager to join the team here at Cereal Partners, Bromborough.

A day in the life of a Project Engineering Manager

Reporting into the Factory Engineering Manager, as the Project Engineering Manager you will lead the Project Engineering function to deliver capital projects safely, on time and within budget until vertical start up, meeting the short-term and strategic needs of the site.

Other key activities will include:

  • Lead and coordinate the Capital plan (CAPEX) process, defining the project team, project scope, success criteria and milestone deliverables that support business goals.
  • Lead in the development of the long-term site plan and strategic projects.
  • Execute the basic and detailed design of the project based on company standards, local regulations, the defined User Requirements Specifications and the TPM characteristics of a unit operation (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability and reliability).
  • Ensure available feedback from previous projects is leveraged to prevent waste and optimize execution.
  • Lead the team and coordinate the contribution of all the stakeholders, to ensure that the fixed asset side of the project is implemented in accordance with the defined category standards, timing, cost and quality.
  • Ensure all project related activities are fully compliant with relevant legislation and Nestlé/ GMI/ CPW standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure that the investment project charter has been fulfilled and that the project scope is achieved with the agreed cost and timing.

What will make you successful

  • High calibre engineer Apprentice trained/ HNC or Degree
  • Proven experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably with food products or FMCG.
  • Excellent project management skills, able to lead cross functional teams. 5 years’ experience
  • Sound technical knowledge and practical experience of working within health and safety legislation.
  • Financial management skills, reviewing, controlling and forecasting, purchasing negotiation.
