Job Description

Support Worker- Staffordshire / Uttoxeter

Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Working Pattern: Full time 37.5 hours per week (part time hours are also available)

Pulse is delighted to be working with a truly unique service provider operating within the social care sector. They are currently seeking an experienced Support Worker to join their team in carrying their goal forward.

The service provider offers a range of clinical and social care services to young people with mental health needs. The service provider entails a variety of units including Acute units; Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) units; a generic tier 4; Specialist Eating Disorder services; PICU CAMHS and Forensic CAMHS.

Their mission is ambitious, but straightforward: to fulfil the void in the social care sector by facilitating high-quality, specialised placements for young people who have been discharged from in-patient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and who will need skilled support and rehabilitation in the community, or as an efficient, secure alternative to in-patient admission.

Requirements:

  • The successful applicant must hold a full clean driving License
  • Have completed their Diploma level 3 (or have the willingness to work towards one)
  • Work to and comprehend the minimum standards and guidance provided in the Ofsted Quality Standards, as well as other applicable guidance and regulations.
  • Previous experience in a similar job is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To uphold a duty of care and safe working practices towards self, young people, and other staff
  • After appropriate training, you will be administering medication to young people
  • Assist young persons who have restricted cognitive ability in doing optimal daily activities
  • To aid in the development of the process, procedures, and delivery of care and progress for young people
  • Reassure and support young people's independence by supporting them with independent living skills, personal cleanliness, and so on
