About the Employer
A 35 year old university graduate requires a personal assistant to join her well-established, long-standing team. The lady, who lives in her own fully adapted home and has her own vehicle wants a personal assistant who can support and accompanying her with her many interests and hobbies which include music, crafts, shopping, keeping up with friends, festivals and foreign travel.
The person has congenital Muscular Dystrophy and epilepsy. Her mobility is limited so she uses a powered wheelchair.
Please note the Employer has a pet.
Summary of Duties
This is an excellent opportunity to support this person in all aspects of her daily life including all personal care, manual handling/transfers, household duties including laundry, food preparation etc. support with appointments and all aspects of general living.
The Person They Are Looking For
The PA should be reliable, trustworthy, and have understanding of high quality of care.
They must have a caring nature, be friendly and supportive, have good communication skills, be an excellent timekeeper, a team worker and have a high quality of hygiene. Experience of this type of PA support would be valuable, however, training will be provided as necessary.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Full driving licence is essential as the role requires you to drive the employer’s vehicle.(minimum age requirement)
Moving and handling and First Aid Training will be provided by the Employer.
