Programme Officers provide support to a regional team and/or a corporate function in the delivery of development programmes and associated activities.
Programme Officer - ECA and Electoral Integrity UK Teams
This role will provide support for two UK based teams, the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) regional team and the Quality and Innovation team.
Reporting to the Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, this role will play an important and vital role within the team; interacting with field teams, donors, partners, and stakeholders to provide efficient administrative support, ensuring the implementation of projects and programmes meet the highest standards.
In addition this role works under the Director of Quality and Innovation's direction to support the effective functioning and smooth-running of WFD’s electoral observation work as the UK Focal Point for secondment of international election observers and electoral integrity practice.
Programme Officer - MENA, and Centre of Expertise
This role will provide support for two UK based teams, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regional team and the Quality and Innovation team.
Reporting to the Head of Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the PO, MENA, and Centre of Expertise (CoE) will undertake a variety of administrative and other tasks including financial administration, logistics, travel and event management, research, communications, bid development support, and systems and processes support for the MENA regional team.
In addition, under the direction of the Director of Quality and Innovation, the PO, MENA, and Centre of Expertise will support the effective functioning and smooth-running of WFD’s Centre of Expertise, including through support to WFD’s Heads of Practice. The Centre of Expertise is a new initiative within WFD which responds to requests for technical expertise and support on issues related to democratic governance and elections from the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and UK Posts (Embassies and High Commissions) around the world.
The Programme Officers will also be:

Guiding teams through reporting cycle and ensuring deadlines

Supporting in-country recruitment processes as needed

Note-taking in team and external meetings

Setting up and monitoring compliance with templates

Arranging meetings and travel
-
Supporting business development.

supporting country and election observation teams in meeting financial reporting and other compliance obligations.
