Group Business Assurance (GBA) operates as a 2nd Line of defence, assuring the end to end (E2E) accuracy of supplier and customer charging whilst giving insight and consultancy to the business on improvements and optimisation opportunities.
Within your new role you will support & input into the execution of the GBA strategy for the ongoing Network & Usage related assurance of products and services, for one or more Customer Facing Unit (CFU) or Central Unit (CU). You will also support Assurance Operations, from revenue recovery through to root cause management for usage related issues and support the controls that are key to BT’s regulatory compliance to OFCOM, and Financial key control compliance.
You'll have the following responsibilities
- Accountable for engagement across a wide range of operational CFU & CU stakeholders
- Use business assurance knowledge to carry out product end-to-end assessments and risk and control reviews.
- Uses understanding of the audit of processes and systems, along with commercial insight, to define and recommend new or amend controls & coverage
- Carries out root cause analysis
- Support Specialists / Manager in management of third party suppliers, auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Project Management of changes in controls due to new requirements from the business or customers.
- Uses technical understanding of BT E2E system/product to drive assurance excellence in GBA, CFU & wider BT processes.
- Support Assurance Operations, as required
- Identifies opportunities for operational improvement and efficiencies and prioritises and implements the most cost effective solutions.
- Ensures quality user acceptance testing
- Carries out ad-hoc analysis supporting customer queries/issues and creation of business cases, where applicable.

You'll have the following skills & experience
- Telco experience in: Business assurance, risk, compliance, network, business operations, audit or billing roles, contract management.
- Data Analysis, identifying discrepancies, gathering relevant data and presenting it in a way to tell a story.
- Basic SQL
- Preferred: Experience of industry standard Assurance tools, such as RAID, ROC RA, Revenue Guard or similar
- Preferred: BQF LP+ or Six Sigma Green+
- Preferred: Experience in data analysis and designing, documenting & maintaining Controls to mitigate risk – ideally within the Usage control framework
