About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Miller to join our growing team. That person will be capable of programming setting and running machining centres to produce quality parts to specification checking their own work using a variety of measuring equipment
Working within our fast-paced workshop based in Draycott, Derbyshire, your role will see you programming using Mastercam CAD / CAM software, setting Haas lathes and running off parts to a high quality. Other key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting technical drawings to produce parts to the drawing specification
- Where necessary running multiple machines when on running jobs
- Working on small batches of high-quality parts with a right first-time attitude
- Able and willing to look at processes to improve productivity where possible to accelerate output within the company
About You:
Essential skills and experience
- Offline or partial offline programming using Cad / Cam software
- Setting and operating CNC lathes centres
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Self-inspecting work
Desirable skills and experience
- Star sliding head machine experience
- Mastercam (training will be provided)
- Haas control (training will be provided
