We are looking for a Senior Care Worker to lead and organise a small team of staff in our residential home.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with a diverse group of people and be able to carry out the objectives of a young person's care plan, which will include personal hygiene, keeping accurate daily records and communicating with families in a professional manner.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable working across the team, supporting and enabling staff to work with young people to their full potential.
Full UK driving licence and the ability to drive from location to location is required.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a children's home under the direction of the manager.
- Monitor young people's physical and emotional well-being.
- Carry out educational tasks when required.
- Supervise the care of children.
- Experience in using the TEACCH approach would be useful. However training will be provided.
- Monitor and record young peoples activities and administer medication, when needed.
- Willingness to undertake a range of training courses required as part of the post.
- Organise recreational activities for children and young people.
- Senior care workers will work in a two week shift pattern which may include waking night duties.
- NVQ level 3 desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
- Two years previous experience in a care environment is required

- A full work history from leaving school
