JOB TITLE: Quality Control Team Leader
HOURS: 38 hours per week (Mon – Thurs: 8hrs/ Fri: 6 hrs – finish early)
SHIFT: Day Shift only: 0800 – 1630 (currently)
SALARY: Competitive
LOCATION: Hingham, Norfolk (NR9) - Please check the location and ensure that you are able to travel there and back safely
About the role:
We have exciting news for our Quality team!...Not only are we recruiting new Inspectors to join our team we are also seeking an experienced Quality Control Team Leader to guide the team and bring it all together.
This role will report into our experienced Quality Manager and along-side the Senior Quality Control Technician will lead, develop and mentor a brand-new team of Quality Control Inspectors.
As the Quality Control Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming parts and manufactured goods are inspected to ensure compliance with all internal, customer, third party and regulatory requirements, record keeping activities, development of Quality Control plans, Component Inspection Plans and carrying out inspection activities.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Prioritising and organising Goods Inwards and Product Quality Inspections
- Assisting with the development of the Product Quality Processes
- Providing inspection input to Engineering as part of Drawing Release and Engineering Change processes
- Development of the cosmetic inspection criteria for parts
- Aid department managers with technical matters and ensure that all inspection standards are carried out effectively, both prior to processing and at the inspection/dispatch
About the person:
We are looking for candidates that have good attention to detail and work effectively as part of a team as well as the following:
- Experience working as a Quality Team Leader within a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills - ability to manage staff in busy environment, provide coaching and support to team members
- Excellent planning and organisation skills - for self and others
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to extract relevant engineering and inspection data
- Effective communicator
- Analytical technique expertise
- Strong documentation skills and use of Microsoft office applications e.g. word, Excel, PowerPoint
