We are recruiting a full time Children's Well-Being Practitioners (CWP). This is an exciting time for a to join a dynamic and innovative CAMHS workforce in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES).
The national Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) programme was developed following recommendations made in ‘Implementing the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health' plan, to provide evidence based interventions for children and young people.
A children’s wellbeing practitioner (CWP) is a highly specialist role in a CAMHS team. The role is pivotal to enhancing accessibility to CAMHS by delivering low-intensity psychological interventions for mild to moderate low mood and anxiety disorders.
In this role you will be supporting the Clinical Team Manager, working alongside 2 other deputy team managers. You will be part of a dynamic, innovative and supportive multi-disciplinary who meet frequently and work closely together. Clinical supervision and professional development are priorities for the service and preceptorship is supported.

This is a unique opportunity to join a creative and innovative Multi-Disciplinary CAMHS team and organisation.
There will also be an opportunity to continue clinical work focusing on more complex CWP cases and get involved in teaching and training across the area.

This role within CAMHS aims to develop the Low Intensity CBT offer within the Getting Help part of our services. It represents an opportunity for clinicians who have knowledge and experience in using evidence-based low intensity interventions to develop their careers, and support the development of this new, exciting service for young people and their families.
The post-holder will provide guided self-help, low intensity, brief, evidence-based CBT and to deliver groups and training where appropriate. The post-holder will work closely with senior colleagues to screen and triage all referrals. The role will also involve highlighting areas of need within the teams and helping to develop the service and create quality improvement plans supported by, and in conjunction with, senior colleagues. The post holder will also hold a caseload in agreement with their supervisor and in line with their clinical skills.

- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
