We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious, proactive and driven Learning Programmer to develop and deliver an intensive and inclusive secondary school project at The Ashmolean Museum with Greyfriars Catholic School in Oxford https://www.greyfriarsoxford.org.uk
The Ashmolean is Oxford University’s Museum of Art and Archaeology. You will work in the busy and creative Formal Learning Team which develops and delivers schools and academic engagement programmes.
You will identify innovative opportunities to work in partnership with staff and students at the school across all key stages, to embed Ashmolean collections and object-based learning into the curriculum, lesson delivery, INSET and the life of the school. You will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative and creative engagement programmes at the Ashmolean and in school. The programme will run for one year with the possibility of an extension to two years.
This is a part time, fixed term post, working 22.5 hours per week.
The expected start date for this post is September 2023.
You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting statement as part of your online application. Your supporting statement should list each of the essential and desirable selection criteria, as listed in the job description, and explain how you meet each one.
As a member of staff at Oxford you can enjoy a wide range of benefits, including staff discounts in the Museum’s shop, café and free entry to exhibitions, along with excellent learning and development opportunities in a stimulating and attractive environment.
Only applications received online before 12:00 midday (GMT/BST) on Monday 24th April 2023 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place on Tuesday 16 May 2023.
  • An automatic annual increment each year will be paid up to (and not including) the discretionary range within the University of Oxford’s grade 6 salary scale.
