You will work in a busy preparation centre working with and alongside a variety of specialist teams. Our Prep Centre processes over a 1000 vehicle’s a month and services 8 Stores around the UK.
Vehicle Diagnostic Technician – The Person:
- A keen eye for detail and recognising the importance of giving every car in our workshop the highest standard of care
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members to overcome challenges and solve problems quickly
- A huge passion for learning and keeping up with industry innovations to help you perform at your best
- Communication with production leader to ensure that quality repairs are carried out on all vehicles
- Strong technical background with experience of working as motor vehicle mechanic in similar role
- Good communication skills
- Ability to carry out repairs efficiently and to a high level of quality
- A minimum of NVQ L3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- A qualified diagnostic technician, preferably multi-brand
Vehicle Diagnostic Technician - The Duties:
- Carry out routine service works as per given guidelines
- Provide regular work status updates
- Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others
- Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road testing vehicles after work has been carried out
- Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDI's, service reports) in line with HSO, warranty and V12 requirements
- Accurately complete job cards and DISS reports, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed
