The University of Bristol IT Services division is expanding its Projects team and is seeking an experienced Test Lead who will be responsible for the management of the end-to-end testing for current and emerging projects within IT, but primarily for the Identity & Access Management (IDAM) Programme.
You will be responsible for all testing activities across the IDAM (and subsequent) programmes/projects (both functional and non-functional). Agreeing the testing scope; devising test strategies; establishing testing standards, methods, and processes; implementing tools for automated and manual testing frameworks, alongside incident/defect management. You will be managing the test analysts within your area and working closely with the project managers and the stakeholders across the University.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of managing a testing function across programmes and projects within a large, complex organisation
- Experience of testing large-scale enterprise business systems
- Experience of all stages of testing, i.e. system, system integration, security, usability/accessibility, performance and user acceptance testing
- Experience of both automated and manual testing techniques and tools
- Knowledge and experience of ISEB / ISTQB testing best practices or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge and proven experience in deploying tools for test management
- Knowledge and experience of different project and development methodologies, such as PRINCE2 and Agile, and the management of testing within them
Desired experience would be:
- Testing experience within Identity & Access Management projects
- Working within the higher education sector
