Job Description
As part of the Product Development team you will be responsible for supporting the successful development and control of all new and existing products, ensuring that they are produced within the appropriate regulatory environment and to customer and company specifications.
Main Duties
Duties/responsibilities
- You will assist the NPD Manager in the development, testing and production launch of new products within TS Foods.
- You will assist the NPD Manager in the re-formulation of current products and assessment of alternative materials.
- You will be expected to be a supportive member of the Technical department providing NPD support to Production during trials and production commissioning.
- This role will involve the entire NPD process from concept to launch and you will be accountable to the NPD Manager regarding NPD process inputs.
- Work with the NPD Manager in responding effectively and satisfactorily to customer briefs to develop innovative yet viable product ranges and with customer presentations ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
- Preparation & Cooking of Products for Internal Tasting Sessions.
- Conduct regular, routine taste panels for both standard products & competitor products. And document taste panels in line with Company procedures.
- Supporting & cooking for customer presentations.
- Preparation & make up of recipes in the kitchen within strict recipe specifications.
- Assisting in Pack Copy Information: Completing Cooking Instructions, Shelf Life Samples etc.
- Following the NPD Process so all due diligence is met.
- Eliminate unnecessary cost and wastage of food through appropriate time management, planning and preparation.
- Liaising with Technical department on all issues regarding product consistency, safety, quality & legality.
- Contribute in all areas where necessary to ensure the continued smooth running of TS Foods.
- Ensure excellent housekeeping at all times.
- Comply with all health & safety legislation regarding food hygiene and safe working practices.
- Any other duties as requested by the NPD Manager that is deemed to be within your capability.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
