Job Description
Age Concern Hampshire are looking for home helpers in Havant and surrounding areas with experience in cleaning or even care work.
Do you want to make a real difference in older peoples lives? This role is flexible and we have hours to suit you from part time hours to full time hours.
What is the Help at Home Service?
This self-employed position of Home Helper is very rewarding and flexible. Our Home Helpers choose which clients to take on and once allocated, they visit the same clients regularly so they get to know them. Visits are booked for a minimum of one hour.
Our Home Helpers support our clients (aged 50+) with general cleaning, laundry and ironing, bed linen change, shopping, helping to cook a light meal or snack, prescription collection and companionship. Personal care is not part of the Help at Home Service.
The needs of the clients will be assessed by the Help at Home Co-ordinator prior to allocating the visit to ensure you are not expected to carry out work outside of your remit. You will be provided with guidance regarding keeping yourself and your client safe, including Covid19 safety guidance, and the Co-ordinator will inform you of any potential risks that have been identified in clients’ homes.
