The University of Winchester is seeking to recruit a Departmental Administrator to work in the Faculty of Law, Crime and Justice. This is an interesting opportunity for applicants wishing to work in an academic environment.
The Departmental Administrator will play a key role as a member of a highly professional administrative group responsible for servicing the work of the faculty. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Faculty Operations to ensure delivery of excellent support services to the students and staff of the faculty. You will be expected to take a lead role in providing programme and general administration of the Department, offering support and advice to the programme administrators, academic staff and students on a variety of issues.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in an administrative role and we would value experience gained in a Higher Education environment, but this is not essential. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident in interacting with colleagues at all levels. Organised and flexible in your approach, you will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
One of our core values is ‘individuals matter’. As an employee at the University of Winchester, we are committed to your wellbeing and development. You will have access to a wide range of benefits and support including:
- Hybrid working policy
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Holiday entitlement of 21 days per year rising by 5 days after 5 years’ service and the option to buy extra leave up to a maximum of 35 days
- Discounts at many retailers, restaurants and entertainment
- Free wellbeing events including weekly exercise classes
- Contributory pension scheme
- On site gym and sports facilities
