Labour Ward Co-ordinator -Band 7 Midwife-
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior midwife to apply for a Labour Ward Co-ordinator post in the intra-partum area to work and lead the department alongside the multidisciplinary team, midwifery support workers and our allied health professionals. We are committed to you and your continual professional development and will support your leadership and management journey.
Post holders will have significant experience as a Registered Midwife with recent experience in the intrapartum area. Candidates will be able to co-ordinate safe, high quality intra-partum care.
The maternity service is seeking innovative and visionary senior midwives who will lead the intrapartum service through the implementation of further continuity models and through continual maternity service transformation and quality improvement methodology, providing support to the Labour Ward manager, collaborating together to ensure safety and quality is optimised and patient experience is a priority.
The successful candidate will participate in the Unit Bed Manager role which co-ordinates patient flow and bed management throughout our busy unit.
You will participate in the Senior Midwife 'on call' rota out of hours 7 days per week.
