We are looking for a Brand Director to join the Brand team at Ennismore. This is an exciting new role in our growing company and will focus on driving the brand positioning, marketing campaigns and the culture and content strategy for three brands – The Hoxton, Working From_ and SO/ while also leading the roll out across international markets.

Based in London and reporting to the EVP Brand Lifestyle Collective & Resorts, the Brand Director will lead the planning and roll out of the global marketing strategies and own, maintain and protect the brand positioning, creative identity and standards across all consumer platforms and touchpoints – keeping our brands at the forefront of innovation in the industry. The role will also directly manage a content team that creates all editorial and storytelling to bring our brands to life.

With each brand in a different stage of its evolution we are looking for someone that can build on and enhance our existing, successful strategies but also get stuck into larger, repositioning projects, taking ownership of how we communicate this to both our partners and markets, as well as the guest.

What you'll do...

  • Lead the strategic planning and roll out of the annual global marketing strategies – that support both commercial and brand objectives - with a keen eye on consumer trends and audience insights to ensure our DNA is clear but our ideas and plans continue to evolve.
  • Support the brand COOs and EVP Brand Lifestyle Collective & Resorts in pitching, presenting and decision making as our brands continue to grow globally
  • Ensure we have clear direction & toolkits on brand positioning & guest experience that can be easily interpreted and executed in all international markets and are consistently maintained
  • Manage a central social and content team that oversees all the global social media channels, creates editorial for our websites, in-hotel print and digital collateral and campaign narratives.
  • Own regular catch ups with global marketing teams ensuring the sharing of ideas and information are always flowing and the team truly feel like part of the bigger global brand plans
  • Be creative approver for the brand teams ensuring identity, tone of voice and functionality are always the best they can possibly be
  • Be a go-to decision maker for the Head of Brand Projects and the wider brand team to help them ensure new openings are smooth and successful (and also really really fun!)
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing teams using insights and data to help build the best campaigns that will be creative and effective commercially
  • Support the Head of PR to manage the global plans for new openings, collaborations and general press about the brands DNA.
  • Work closely with the Head of Brand Culture to create campaigns and collaborations with brand partners and talent that give us new stories to tell and let us reach new audiences
  • Oversee the central marketing budget and create pre-opening budgets with departmental teams for new openings.
  • Be involved in brand recruitment and agency selections across property teams world-wide.

What we're looking for...

  • An experienced marketing all-rounder that has a particular love and flair for creative ideas, content creation and how to connect with consumers across a range of touchpoints.
  • Someone who is as happy looking at a spreadsheet of data as they are a beautiful piece of creative work, and they can interpret and comment on both articulately and with passion
  • Someone who can chat confidently with a revenue team one minute, and a digital team the next, can have amazing catch ups with legal over a contract but also write a creative brief for a design team
  • Someone with an eye for detail – you’re going to have to love reading copy and reviewing design work and quickly be able to guide and advise on changes required to ensure it’s always on brand but also, it’s the best it can be
  • You know performance marketing and PR but most importantly you can lead and inspire a content and social media team with confidence – we all chip in to support each other – one minute you might write a bit of copy, the next you’ll be making up names for events
  • You’re never happier than when you’re obsessing over a brand presentation and even more you sell the love and passion we have for our brands to external partners and stakeholders
  • You know what makes a great campaign and what will capture someone’s attention and you are used to working with brand partners ensuring all parties get something great out of the activations
  • You’re quick on your feet – you can pop different brand hats on within minutes and not break a sweat
  • You love travel, the world of hospitality and clever branding – BTW you don’t have to have a hospitality background but we want you to be ready to fall in love with it
  • You’re kind and personable and when you work with all teams you are respectful, collaborative, constructive and supportive.
  • Someone proactive and able to work independently but likes being sociable & collaborative too
  • Someone who loves to think strategically but also has a creative eye for detail
  • A great communicator with stakeholders across a business at any level
