Job Description

Lime Pictures’ have an amazing opportunity for a Digital Content Editor, to join the Award-winning Digital Team in Liverpool for 6 months.

Working as part of a digital team supporting Channel 4’s flagship TV programme Hollyoaks, you will be a real social media native. Ideally you will have professional experience in a similar role and are fully immersed and versed in the world of TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Day to day you will lead in creating and publishing content across all social media platforms, working with show assets and archive footage to design and implement innovative and engaging campaigns. You will also be shooting and creating original content, so experience of working with Adobe Creative Cloud: Premiere and Photoshop is essential.

With unprecedented access to Hollyoaks’ storylines, filming, sets and cast, the Lime Digital team create content that represents the programme and is valued and enjoyed by its fans, engaging them, and generating interest in the brand for current, lapsed and new viewers.

What must you be good at?

  • Experience in working with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest social media platforms and trends: have a passion for digital storytelling.
  • Communication: approachable and works well with the rest of the Digital team as well as working closely with talent and other departments
  • Creativity: Finding a unique way to develop ideas and tell a story, using the features of social media platforms
  • Confidence: not afraid to have input into creative discussions, communicating ideas with other team members and talent when on set.
  • Writing: excellent written skills ideally with an A-Level (or similar) in English
  • Experience of copyrighting
  • Taking instruction: listen carefully, respond quickly, stay calm under pressure
  • Taking initiative: have common sense, see what needs to be done in a situation, work without supervision
  • Multi-tasking and time management: able to be organised and prioritise when asked to do different things and work to multiple sometimes tight deadlines
  • Reliability: be on time and available during your working day
  • Flexibility: embrace change and try new ideas. May need to travel to other work locations or work varying hours occasionally.
