Liquid Handling Sales Specialist UK North and Northern Ireland
What you will do / Responsibilities will include:
As a sales specialist at Tecan you will have a varied & dynamic role, responsible for sales of our automated liquid handling systems. Your key tasks and activities will include:
- Performing technical consultancy to fully understand customer needs and automation objectives
- Demonstrating technical solutions by configuring systems, presenting solutions, referrals or demos
- Managing customer expectations and in some cases challenging whether they are realistic and/or practical
- Generation of customer required documentation including correctly formatted quotations
- Submitting tenders and RFQs
- Working with the applications team to assess technical risk of our solution
- Managing the Installation process after receipt of sales order to ensure successful revenue recognition
- Devises and formulates regional growth plan in line with the overall company objectives
- Ensure that a measured risk approach is adopted for Terms and conditions of sale, involving legal according to the competency rules
- Grow the business in a sustainable and ethical manner
- Maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
What you bring along:
- Strong commercial skills and track record in sales
- Life Sciences domain knowledge
- Has experience with The Challenger sales process
- Ability to recognize and solve potential problem areas demonstrating business safety and integrity
- Solve business issues by managing costs and risks
- Ability to communicate and understand the needs of the internal and external clients
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to travel
- A degree in life science
- A thirst for knowledge
- A good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
