JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Assistant General Manager (AGM) Temporary 3 to 6 months
Division: Operations Hours: 40
Type of Contract: Full time permanent
Reports to: General Manager

Job Purpose
The AGM will be a key member of the management team, assisting the General Manager in leading the delivery of operations across the business, focusing on the delivery of SLA and KPIs, whilst ensuring all operations are within budget and return positive outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating a safe atmosphere in which to work and ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered to.
- Assisting in site responsibility for process design supporting inbound, pick and outbound operations throughout the wider team
- Compiling, and preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Assisting with people development and performance management within the operation
- Assisting with the development and implementation of clear control measures to drive KPI / SLA achievement
- Undertake regular review of volume forecasts and amend resource planning with consideration to budgetary requirements
- Identifying and achieve efficiency savings and cost/productivity reviews
- To have a flexible approach towards shift patterns in order to be able to work between both AM and PM and weekend shifts as the operation requires
In addition, the post holder will be expected to: -
- Comply with the requirements of the Risk Management Policy, a copy of which is available from your Manager.
- The conduct of the post holder must be in accordance with the terms of any UK legislation e.g. employment legislation, human rights etc
- Assist in ensuring that all health and safety, and security measures are complied with, in accordance with company policy
- Proactively develop own skills, knowledge, and competence in line with business needs and statutory requirements.
Competencies/Personal Requirements/Experience
- Outstanding organisational and co-ordination skills with the ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines
- Confident working calmly under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation experience
- Experienced in the leadership and development of teams
- Good working knowledge of operational processes and procedures
- Proficient in MS Office suite of products
- Relevant bachelor degree or equivalent standard.
