Job Description
We’re looking for an Insurance Operations Director to join our Mortgage Services team leading our Insurance business area. Key aspects include managing our Insurance provider relationships to ensure regulatory requirements are fulfilled and products are continually reviewed and developed to ensure they meet the business and customer demands. Other focus areas include supporting the business in optimising sales opportunities and sales performance in insurance, growing the insurance business by driving out opportunity for other routes to market e.g. telephony, online and direct marketing channels and leading and inspiring the central Insurance Operations Teams to successfully deliver customer centric, effective and efficient support services. This is a role that is commercially focussed with a significant and critical focus on regulatory requirements and customer value.
Key responsibilities of the Insurance Operations Director:
- Manage all Insurance Provider relationships to ensure product, price and process is optimal and delivering fair value to customers.
- Support core EAMS business in identifying and selling to all available opportunities.
- Accountable for the Insurance Operations teams across the Mortgage Services business, ensuring high quality and consistent delivery of all services and support across the business network. Inspiring and developing highly valued, high performing teams, owning and supporting the development and retention of talent throughout Insurance Operations.
- Lead and develop the Insurance Operations Management team, to include conducting performance reviews, management meetings and provide clear communication, business updates, engagement of the CMS Charter and development and support to the team.
- Identifying AXA back office Insurer synergies to maximise efficiencies and deliver a professional and seamless service to our customers
- As part of the Mortgage Services senior leadership team support the development and execution of strategy and plans that will drive and deliver ambitious growth across EAMS.
- Provide appropriate Management Information to the business on a monthly basis to include Operational Boards, Mortgage Services Sub Committees as needed.
Experience & skills required to be successful asan Insurance Operations Director:
- Significant Financial Services, particularly insurance background
- Supplier relationship management skills
- Product and service development skills
- An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, with a flexible approach.
- Work without supervision and be highly motivated to identify solutions.
- Be able to work to challenging targets and deadlines and to deliver when under pressure whilst remaining calm and professional at all times.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to deal confidently and professionally with internal and external clients and customers
- Highly organised, accurate, numerate and detail conscious.
- Ability to work through and drive change.
- Self-motivated and able to demonstrate a positive and “can-do” attitude.
