Job Description
An exciting and challenging post has arisen within the Quality Directorate for a Clinical Audit Assistant to work as part of Clinical Audit Team. The body of work will cover the NHS National Ambulance Clinical Outcomes Indicators (ACQIs), National Learning from Deaths Programme and the local NWAS Clinical Audit Plan.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the Clinical Audit Team who will embrace the move to our new electronic record and adapt to the changes that will bring. Working as part of a centralised Clinical Audit Team, the post holder will work closely with staff across the Trust to support the delivery and development of the above-mentioned programmes of work
The post holder will be responsible for facilitating local and national clinical audit activity projects, which underpins the improvement of patient care across the North-West. Ideally you should possess excellent communication skills, an ability to work well under pressure, have sound knowledge of Microsoft office applications including Access databases and Excel. You should have experience of managing your time efficiently and have a flexible attitude to work to meet the demands of the service. Previous experience within the field of clinical audit would be advantageous; or an acute awareness of the role and a readiness to learn would be welcomed.
The Clinical Audit Team is currently based at NWAS Headquarters; Ladybridge Hall in Bolton.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
