Job Description:
Job Overview
Microchip is currently seeking an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our global team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for daily system administration and infrastructure projects on a global scale. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting manufacturing and lab environments, understand how to manage multiple domains and forests interlocked with a combination of one and two-way trusts, and have a solid grasp of Microsoft applications and operating systems.
Responsibilities:

Daily administration for Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMware, and Office 365/Exchange

Work closely with manufacturing customers to safely and effectively migrate production lines and lab systems from legacy domains to our consolidated domains.

Participate in information services, infrastructure, and security projects

Provide solutions to resolve issues related to information security, group policy management, identity management, user access authentication, authorization, user provisioning, and role-based access control

Maintain multi-forest, multi-domain environment with an eye towards security and reducing complexity

Provide procedures and configuration documentation used in troubleshooting, setup, and maintenance of systems
-
Work alongside other team members, teams, vendors, and customers to provide timely resolutions to technical challenges

Provide On-Call level 2 support 1-2 weeks per quarter (8 hour shifts, no overnights)

Position may require travel to other Microchip locations

Create work documents with IT procedures and knowledge base documents.
