We’re now looking for driven, friendly people like you to join our team that provides processing, telephony and operational expertise within Sainsbury’s Bank. Responsible for the investigation and execution of customer and colleague requests relating to all aspects of servicing customer accounts.

This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. Our opening hours are between 8am and 17.15pm.
We are working from home 3 out of 4 weeks, and the 4th week you will be in our office.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide first class customer service at all times, displaying behaviours that exceed customer expectations
  • Deliver first contact resolution, solving customer queries efficiently and effectively with each interaction
  • Deal with all requests promptly, ensuring daily deadlines are met and service level excellence targets are achieved
  • Proactively suggest ideas to improve customer experience, removing the root cause of complaints where appropriate
  • Fulfil and respond to customer contact via a variety of methods – inbound and outbound email, secure messaging, mail interaction and telephone
  • Drive and own personal performance and development
  • Be resilient, positive, determined and capable of meeting demanding deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Proactively develop the necessary knowledge and skills needed to achieve successful delivery and relay accurate information to customers and colleagues
  • Build relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues across all business areas to provide outstanding customer service and customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to all the relevant regulatory and operations risk controls, policies and minimum standards

  • Customer Service Focus – ensure that the customers interest are at the heart of our decision making
  • Promote Change and Improvements – Clear focus on continuous improvement is maintained within the department
  • Communication – regularly work with other areas of the business to ensure the customer outcome is the best it can be
  • Risk, Compliance and Regulatory Management - Demonstrate an acute awareness of processing standards and the need to maintain and advocate ownership of quality and regulatory requirements in the work
  • Deliver Results - Maximise business performance whilst meeting our Customer needs through the provision of excellent Customer service
