What you will do

• Lead input into the UK MBSE forums
• Work alongside the UK MBSE Lead to translate and harmonise any cross industry agreements, and/or ontologies into recommended good practice policies, processes, or guidelines
• Work with UK Capability Improvement Leads to develop a road-map to expand the use of MBSE across the whole Systems Engineering lifecycle processes and provide seamless integration with other Engineering functions and toolsets
• Promote a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach to refine requirements and develop architectures for Product based and System Integration based programmes
• Mentor and Guide the internal architecture development across the line of business
• Utilising your expertise at both a strategic and tactical level you will build consensus that ensures alignment in engineering approaches to promote agreed good practice, commonality and re-use
• Provide technical guidance/coaching and Systems Engineering governance to a growing team across the Line of Business
• Support the initiation and development of a Leonardo Product MBSE library of System models to enable future rapid development

What we are looking for

• High proficiency working across the systems engineering lifecycle
• Experience of engineering gate reviews and the associated assessment of design compliance
• Expertise with MBSE processes, tools (e.g. Cameo System Modeler,) and languages (e.g. SysML)
• Familiarity with using IBM DOORS for requirements management
• Highly proficient at requirements elicitation, negotiation and definition
• Awareness of agile development methodologies
• Strong numerical and analytical ability
• Ability to cope with a high degree of design complexity and significant levels of uncertainty
• Experience of supporting design / delivery teams to develop complex, technical solutions in accordance with plans and processes
• Self-motivated with an aptitude for problem solving and driving difficult issues to conclusion
• Excellent verbal and written communication / collaboration skills
• Experience of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders of varying seniorities

• Knowledge/experience of: Cameo System Modeler, MATLAB/Simulink,
• Domain knowledge in passive / active EW detection and countermeasure systems, RF communications techniques, Seeker systems
