Hours of Work:
Parks & Public Realm - 36 per week - Monday – Thursday – 7.30am – 5.00pm
Bereavement Services – 37 hours - Monday – Thursday – 7.45am – 4.00pm, Friday 7.45am – 2.15pm
There is a possibility that a number of permanent positions may become available at the end of the temporary period.
The Service currently has a number of vacancies for Temporary Grounds Maintenance Workers to join our core workforce in the maintenance of Parks, Green Spaces and Cemeteries throughout the City.
The post holder is required to be part of a team of staff carrying out maintenance operations within a defined geographical area including the provision of grounds maintenance service to other clients.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is looking to gain experience of working in a team environment. You will have attention to detail, be enthusiastic and safety conscious at all times. Work will cover a wide range of grounds maintenance operations including grass cutting and the use of powered machinery for which suitable training will be provided.
A full clean driving licence is desirable.
