Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is recruiting for a Deck Foreman on Cormorant Alpha for a period of 18 months.
Basic Purpose of Job:
- To co-ordinate and carry out safe and efficient logistics and platform services in compliance with all relevant legislation
- Manage team competence, development and performance to ensure all activities are carried out to the highest possible standard in accordance with WG and Client business objectives
Health, Safety and Environmental Responsibilities:
- Supervise and co-ordinate deck crew to ensure:

Clear HSE objectives and expectations are understood and met
-
Work is conducted in full compliance with Client HS&E policies, procedures and Safety Management System and any statutory requirements or obligations
-
Compliance with all relevant Wood Group HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate
-
All team members actively participate and support all Client and Wood Group Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements
-
Activities are carried out in accordance with ISSOW including comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
-
Manage the deployment of multi skilled deck operators to ensure the deck crew is of sufficient size and experience to carry out deck operations safely and effectively
- Act as ISSOW Issuing or Area Authority where designated

Report all accidents and incidents, lead and participate in incident investigations where required
-
Carry out audits to ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedure and site directives
-
Perform Emergency Response duties in accordance with Client requirements
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities of Role:

Co-ordinate and carry out the following activities in support of site operations
-
All deck and crane operations
-
Helicopter, shipping and standby vessel operations
-
Liaise with stores to optimise the movement of material and equipment to minimise container time on deck
-
Movement of material and equipment to work sites
-
Cleaning, wash down and waste management
-
Assist with rigging and lifting operations where required
-
Ensure all material and logistics movements are supported by paperwork to comply with all statutory requirements
-
Provide support where appropriate to other site departments
-
Ensure comprehensive work history is recorded to a high standard and any follow up work and material required is identified
-
Manage performance and development of team including progression through WG competency scheme
-
Complete annual appraisals for all team members in accordance with agreed plan
-
Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change
-
Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to management
-
Support and improve own and team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices and actively participating in supervisor workshops
-
Participate in WG competence scheme including any multi skilled element in accordance with relevant competence framework
-
Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success
-
Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict
-
Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels
-
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace

- Valid Survival and MIST Certificates

OPITO Banksman/Slinging Operations to Stage 3
