Beaverbrook are recruiting for an experienced Director of Engineering to lead a highly motivated and growing team.
As an expanding and growing company, we are looking for someone who is looking for their next challenge who is experience of working within hotels.
The Role
The Director of Engineering will oversee the Maintenance team on a daily basis, ensuring optimum completion of routine, preventative and emergency maintenance and repairs. This role will also be responsible for managing external contractors and associated works. Working with the Group General Manager, you will oversee Health & Safety for the Estate and provide support for the Townhouse maintenance team.
You will be:
- Able to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Experienced within this role, in a hotel
- Computer literate with advanced skills using MS Office and Outlook
- Experienced in working closely with senior teams to deliver projects
- Experienced in working on an estate, is desirable
You will:
- Maximise the maintenance team’s potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests, employee and owners’ expectations.
- Represent the maintenance team during daily meetings.
- Prioritise, plan, schedule, assign and supervisor the maintenance team.
- Oversee the maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Respond to guests’ maintenance needs promptly and ensure they receive a professional, efficient, prompt and courteous service to hotel standards.
- Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and any other areas identified by yourself and the Group General Manager.
- Maintain of all equipment in accordance with health & safety and compliance regulations.
