Are you experienced in delivering Complex Clinical Care?
Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Support Workers to care for a teenage boy with complex care needs.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service user is a lovely young boy in his early teens who lives with his family in Bury. He has highly complex care needs and requires a care team to support him 24/7 on a 1:1 basis.
We require individuals who are reliable and can commit to his continuous care on a long term, ongoing basis.
Weekdays he attends school and his care team support him with all his clinical needs whilst also supporting any social activities he may attend. When at home he enjoys watching TV, playing games on his iPad, and generally having lots of fun.
You will be supporting with all aspects of his bedtime routine, observing and monitoring him whilst he sleeps, ensuring his wellbeing and clinical interventions are always managed appropriately.
We provide an extensive training programme for all his clinical needs which is led by our highly skilled Registered Nurses.
It is essential that applicants can evidence an understanding of complex care and have experience of working with children and young people.
Training will be delivered during day hours, for which you must be available.
You must have a genuine interest in working with children and be dedicated and passionate about helping him to fulfil and achieve his life goals.
Please note, applicants must hold a UK Driving Licence and be comfortable driving an adapted vehicle (manual).
Essential Experience Required
- A minimum of 3 months previous care / support work experience
- Working with Children & Young People
- Understanding of Complex Care experience
- Medication Administration

- Moving and Handling
- UK Driving Licence
Desirable Experience
- Tracheostomy Care
- Ventilation Management
- Able to communicate via Makaton
Shifts Available
- Part Time- 24.5 hours per week
- Days- 7.30am- 8pm
- Nights- 7.45pm-8am
