STOCK & LOGISTICS COORDINATOR – Paisley – Permanent position
Monday – Friday 8.30pm – 5.30pm – 40 hour week
Our client, a market leader in their field is currently seeking a STOCK & LOGISTICS COORDINATOR to join their existing team based in Glasgow.
This is a wide ranging role and remit will incorporate tasks as below;
- Execute sales and purchase contracts with specified regions across the business (and if applicable, products)
- Plan ales movement from store – manage and communicate all inward & outward movements with customers/stores
- Secure haulage on movements, where applicable
- Understand all costs approved and implemented for all associated store costs
- Approve purchase invoices for material and cost related to movements along with all related services
- Ensure potential out of stock situations are known and advised to traders
- Liaise with external customers, stores and suppliers on ad hoc queries and day to day items
- Build internal relationships with other parts of the business such as Haulage, Quality & Finance Teams
Role & Responsibilities – key outputs:
Management of sales contracts & liaison with customers
- Creation of destination planning
- Allocation and entry of sales fixings
- Management of open contracts
Management of purchase contracts and liaison with trade suppliers
- Ensuring correct material for the end customer
- Allocation of purchases to sales
- Accurate communication of collection/delivery instructions to suppliers
Haulage
- Maintaining haulage contacts
- Booking hauliers for deliveries
- Ensuring correct rates are being used
- Accurate passing of information to hauliers
Shipping
- Planning deliveries to port and/or to ship
- Communication with superintendent with regard to deliveries
- Communication with stevedores with regard to deliveries
Store movements
- Planning of deliveries into store and collection from store
- Communication with storekeeper and suppliers
Claims & Rejections
- Accurate and timely passing of information from customer to supplier on claims
- System entry to ensure the correct values are invoiced/self billed
- Maintain knowledge of local stores for rejections
Inter Department Communication
- Liaison between trading desk and buyers
- Assistance ith execution accounting
Assistance with departmental administration as required

The ideal candidate will have a background within logistical administration, stock accounting or financial processing, and will possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work on own initiative.
