Job Description
About Seeds Hub: A start-up programme and community space with a difference.
Seeds supports community projects, including charities, social enterprises and business for good, to grow and flourish.
We are based in Brent, but we work with people all over North London who have an idea that they’d like to get off the ground. Our start-up programme works exclusively with people who are unemployed or on low incomes.
Our physical space, the SEIDs hub, is located in the heart of Brent next to Wembley Stadium. The space offers co-working desks, office space and conference facilities for established charities, social enterprises and businesses for good.
The start-up programme and physical space create a unique ecosystem where start-up community projects can network, grow, and learn from established projects.
We’ve supported over one hundred businesses over the last three years including a music school for children with special educational needs, an all-female construction company and a creative crafts for carers business.
Take a look at some of the businesses we’ve supported here (Caritas Film from 17 minutes) and here (VIMEO video)
We’re a project of Caritas Westminster, a charity that facilitates social outreach work to tackle poverty and inequality.
About the role
Our start-up programme began in 2019 and so far, we’ve welcomed over 90 participants across five cohorts, including two cohorts run in partnership with the School of Social Entrepreneurs.
In 2023, we’ll run a start-up, and an accelerator programme with 20 participants each (40 participants in total across the year) We’re looking for someone to deliver 240 hours of 121 start-up support for our participants (6 sessions for 40 participants)
We’re looking for someone who has a good understanding and empathy with our client group as well as the Brent Community and someone who has significant experience supporting charities, social enterprises and businesses for good.
