19.5 hours per week. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our CAMHS Therapies pathway, we are looking to recruit a part time, fixed term Senior Art Therapist.
CAMHS Art Therapy pathway forms part of the Specialist CAMHS service based at Mount Gould Hospital. The Art Therapists provide a dedicated service for Children and Young People referred with severe and enduring mental health difficulties in line with NICE guidance and NHS England standards, delivering timely assessment and evidence-based treatments.
You will provide a highly specialist professional Art Therapy service to children and young people with significant mental health difficulties across Plymouth.
Art Therapy is a highly skilled, less-verbal psychotherapeutic process through which distressed young people find ways to explore powerful emotional material and work towards psychological change. This requires highly developed skills in providing and receiving complex and sensitive information, where there are significant barriers to communication.
CAMHS work closely with partner agencies to improve health and social outcomes for children, young people and families across Plymouth.
This role is central to the CAMHS strategy of collaboration to reduce health inequalities across the city as well as improving access to evidence based mental health services.
