A role you will love

As one of our Quality Automation Engineers, you will work within our cross-functional agile teams and be involved throughout the full development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to the delivery of high-quality solutions.

The Quality Automation Engineer is responsible for the test automation architecture and framework, providing technical direction to teams to ensure that automated test solutions are successful in improving quality and testing efficiencies.

You will play a key part in supporting Computershare’s journey to be at the forefront of technology working closely with our wider technology teams and business.

Some other key responsibilities:

  • Implements and continually improves the automation framework and architecture
  • Uses meaningful metrics to communicate the effectiveness of automated test solutions
  • Works with the delivery teams to implement test automation strategies and solutions to include automated non-functional as well as functional tests
  • Maintain good awareness of the technical and business domain in which the company operates.
  • Defines how controlled assessments of new tools and technology are completed, encouraging the use of Proofs of Concept (POCs) and live trials.
  • Improves quality and testing efficiencies by collaborating and Influencing scrum teams in test automation approach and ensuring that teams follow good practice.

What will you bring to the role?

As you’ve probably gathered by now, we are looking for individuals with a real passion for Test Automation. You will need to be an innovative thinker with amazing attention to detail and a real passion for getting to the crux of an issue. This will of course mean that you’ll have a logical mind and enjoy solving complex issues.

Due to the nature of the testing role, you’ll have a curious mindset and the ability to build great working relationships with both technical and non-technical individuals.

Other key skills & experience

  • We are looking for people with experience in automating tests and contributing to Automation frameworks.
  • Agile background using SCRUM or KANBAN.
  • Strong experience with Automation testing in C# or Java
  • Experience with UI, API and Database layers
  • Experience with Source control technologies such as GIT
  • Experience using BDD and Gherkin syntax frameworks like Specflow or Cucumber

Compensation. Around £60,000 Depending on experience
