Job Description
Self-Employed Inventory Clerks – South East London – Flexible Working – Full Training Provided
S.R.P. Inventories is an independent property inventory company trusted by many of the UK’s leading national estate agency brands, housing associations and private landlords. Considered one of London’s leading inventory specialists, our business has been constantly expanding from day one.
As such, we are looking to recruit and fully train new inventory clerks with immediate effect in South East London.
Known for our friendly, personal service-led approach, we’re a team on a mission to make our clients’ lives a breeze. We offer residential inventories, check-ins, check-outs and mid-term inspections and we have an immediate need to expand our vibrant team of inventory clerks to keep up with ever-increasing demand.
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for people looking for a fresh opportunity to join us on a flexible, self-employed basis and enjoy a rewarding career in the recession-proof property industry.
Interested in joining us? Our Q&A reveals more about the role…
What hours will I be working?
The beauty of this role is its flexibility. Whilst the core hours are fixed at 9am to 6pm and we’re looking for a minimum of four days per week, we are happy for you to choose your days, as long as you can cover two weekends every month.
We are looking for clerks to work 9am to 6pm, at a competitive rate of £130 for the day.
Where will I be working?
We need immediate cover for established work across South East London.
Our head office is in Chertsey, Surrey, where your initial training will be held.
What will I be doing?
You’ll be inspecting rental properties and reporting on their condition, compiling accurate reports as tenants check in or out and mid-term during their tenancies.
You’ll be using our state of the art digital inventory technology to make your reports on a tablet, dictating what you see and taking photographic evidence to back up your findings. You’ll also be responsible for collecting and handing over keys.
It’s a fulfilling, self-managed role and a great opportunity to get involved in the thriving property industry.
Do I need any experience or qualifications?
You won’t need any experience for the role, as we will provide full training from our Surrey headquarters.
We are, however, looking for candidates who are naturally organised with a keen eye for detail. You’ll have a very high standard of written English and will speak it fluently, and will be committed to delivering exceptional customer service. An affinity for using technology is a must.
What will I earn?
We are offering a competitive day rate of £130, working between 9am and 6pm. There will be a minimum requirement to work four days per week, but more work will often be available for those who want it.
What do I need to consider?
Bear in mind that you will be on your feet for much of the day, and that you’ll mostly be working alone. There will be a fair amount of travelling, and you’ll need to be self-motivated.
You’ll also need to consider how you will travel to your inspections. You’ll either need a car, or access to public transport.
In addition, as you will be working on a self-employed basis, you will need to take care of your own expenses and taxes.
How do I apply?
Send us your CV and a covering letter with a bit about you and why you feel you’ll be a good fit for our company. We look forward to hearing from you!
