Combi Operator Picker Job Rates and Hours:
- £22,000 per year with a 10% uplift once completed training (£24,200 per year)
- Training (first 6 weeks): 8-5pm
- Monday-Friday
- 40 hours per week
- Once fully trained: Late shift times - 1800-0200am or Night shift times 2200-0600am
Job Description of an Combi Operator Picker
- Identifying and locating different steel products, using appropriate measuring equipment
- Ensuring daily checks are performed on relevant equipment at the start of your shift and report any defects
- Ensuring machines and all work areas are clean and tidy while following health and safety protocols
- Unloading lorries, batching and allocating steel to appropriate locations as necessary as well as replenishing stock in the racks
- Working as part of the team of operators, picking and collating steel to order and preparing them for loading as and when orders are generated
- Attending all training courses when required
- Actively engaging in the identification of risks within the workplace and the subsequent assessment development of suitable safe systems of work. When necessary, intervening to prevent breaches of health and safety and/or report as necessary
- Following the requirements of the Company Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures to help achieve a quality product for the customer and reduce the non-conformance
Ideal Combi Operator Picker
- FLT Experience or FLT/Counterbalance Valid licence
- Flexible working hours
- Keen to learn new skills
- Passionate to progress their trading skills
