IT Network Engineer / IT Third Line Support Engineer - remote or hybrid role, dependent upon candidate location.
£40,800 per annum
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting new opportunity to join our IT Service Delivery team as IT Third Line Support Engineer.
In this role, you will provide third line technical specialist support, dealing with and owning major incidents and escalated issues while assisting and coordinating the first and second line engineers.
Other responsibilities will include supporting, administering and maintaining the server and network infrastructure across the Center Parcs WAN
The successful candidate will have good experience and knowledge of Microsoft enterprise products, along with previous experience of managing a large enterprise server and network environments. The ability to work well under pressure is required along with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
Please note that this role involves occasional travel to our Center Parcs villages and will be required to participate in an out of hours on call rota.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal Head Office working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however flexibility will be required as you will be required to participate in an out of hours rota.
Please note, this role can be remote or hybrid, dependent upon candidate location.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
- Proven experience in Cisco networking technologies (switching & routing, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls and wireless)
- Proven experience in 3rd line enterprise Windows Server environment (Active Directory, Group Policy, Certificate Services, DNS/DHCP)
- Experience of VMware Data Centre Virtualisation (vSphere ESXi, vCenter and related storage technologies)
- Professional qualifications; such as MCSA, CCNA, AWS
- Highly technical with hands-on experience troubleshooting network and server issues to resolution
- A key team player and works well under pressure
Desirable requirements:
- Previous experience of working in a tiered structured support environment
- Palo Alto Certified
- VCTA or VCP
- Experience of scripting Python, PowerShell
