This is an exciting opportunity for a HGV Technician to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
As a HGV Technician, you’ll be trusted with keeping some of the UK’s biggest brands on the road, responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, repair, and servicing of customers’ fleets.

Role & Responsibilities
Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
Overhaul electrical equipment and components
Welding and metal working (if authorised & qualified)
Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment (if authorised)
Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (when suitably qualified)
Take charge for parts ordering and stores management
Support workshops team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details
required to substitute Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed
Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency
Maybe the Technician in Charge or cover reception if required
Ad-hoc duties as required
Health and safety at work and workshop cleanliness is of paramount importance
Skills & Experience
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods maintenance or equivalent, or considered qualified by experience
Excellent customer service mindset
Great communication skills
Ability to work quickly and effectively
Must be hardworking and self-motivated and a productive Technician
Ability to tackle all aspects of repair and servicing
Diagnostics skills/qualifications – desirable
