Job Title: Family Finding Senior Practitioner
Contract: Fixed Term - 12 months
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: £25,771 - £27,610 dependant on skills and experience (FTE £41,000 - £43,925) from 1st April 2023
Location: Westminster, Lisson Grove, Frampton Street, London, NW8 8PF with flexibility for home working in agreement with line manager.
Coram Ambitious for Adoption Regional Adoption Agency [RAA] is a commissioned Voluntary Adoption Agency delivering statutory adoption support services and family finding for a number of local authority partners. The post adoption post holder will be located at the Westminster office as part of the wider RAA partnership located across London and surrounding areas. The hub services for the RAA include the recruitment, assessment and support of Coram approved adopters, which are located at the Coram Campus in London. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Practitioner to lead and develop the family finding service across Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.
The post holder will be employed by Coram, a service with a long track record of serving children well and outstanding ratings from Ofsted. The task for the Regional Adoption Agency is to ensure that all children who have a plan for adoption are given every chance to have that ambition realised and when placed in a permanent family receive relevant support as their needs change and develop.
About the role
The post holder will ensure that the services of seeking permanency for children with a plan for adoption are progressed. To support colleagues in both boroughs in their work to transition children onto adoption and all associated tasks associated with the family finding role such as preparing for the matching panel, reviewing adoption support services and attending permanency planning meetings. The post holder will have access to services within both boroughs. The post holder will undertake this task and be part of a bigger network of support from colleagues from across the RAA. All Coram staff are actively engaged in activities with colleagues to improve the quality of services and to develop themselves as adoption practitioner.
We are seeking a dynamic family finding Senior Practitioner wishing to play an active role in the delivery and development of a high quality permanency planning as part of the Coram Ambitious for Adoption Regional Adoption Agency directly to families located within Bi-Borough.
The post holder will enjoy excellent support from a small nurturing team to develop practise skills in this area and enjoy a rich programme of learning and development.
