Network Services are fundamental to how we live as employees and customers. The network we provide needs to be operational 24x7x365 to deliver a quality service to our customers across the consumer and business sectors. Cyber security is paramount in ensuring our critical services are always available and resilient. That is why the Government has set forth new legislation to establish a robust security framework for 5G, full fibre networks and our public electronic communications networks and services to ensure we design, build, and operate secure and resilient networks and manage their supply chains accordingly.
We have a central Security Transformation programme within the Network Services unit that will deliver common capability projects across the BT Group, including deliveries for our key networks such as the IPP (Internet & Peering platform) on which ~40% of the UK’s broadband traffic traverses. To do this effectively, we need diversity of thought, engaging leaders and problem solvers who can figure out how best to collaborate and drive their team to success by bringing our core assets into full compliance under the new legislation and transforming our network. Hence, we are recruiting a Project Manager that is personable, engaging, and able to build brilliant relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
You will be working in a highly complex, fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for creating and leading an integrated team to deliver end-to-end projects ensuring they have a valid business benefit, deliver on time, within budget and to agreed quality criteria from conception through to launch and transition into operations. Your ultimate objective will be to drive successful security transformation across our technology, people and process using agile methodologies, allowing BT to continue providing the most secure and resilient network to all our customers, making us the most trusted connector of people, devices, and networks. Are you ready to drive change and be a part of a winning team – then this is the role for you. The role also offers the opportunity for a hybrid work model (3 days in any of our London, Birmingham and Manchester offices and 2 days wherever you like).
