About us

The UCL Dementia Research Centre (DRC) is a hub for clinical research into various forms of dementia. Our work focuses on identifying and understanding the disease processes that cause dementia, the factors that influence these disease processes, and how best to support people with dementia and their families. In addition to our research, we also provide a cognitive disorders clinic within the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join our team and take on a range of roles across the DRC’s observational studies portfolio, with specific responsibility for coordinating the B-RAPIDD imaging study. You will also undertake lab-based sample processing and analysis, and work with the DRC Research Governance Manager to develop and maintain research governance systems and processes.

The post is available from 18 September 2023 and funded by grants from the Alzheimer’s Society and NIHR until 17 March 2024.

If you need reasonable adjustments or a more accessible format to apply for this job online, or have any queries regarding the application process, please contact the Institute of Neurology HR Team ([email protected]).

Informal enquiries regarding the role can be addressed to Ms Suzie Barker ([email protected]).

You will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to maintain professional boundaries, and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential patient-related information in the appropriate manner.
