If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Barista/Cashier at the vibrant Rochester RC Café, located within the prestigious Rochester RC Establishment.
As a Barista/Cashier, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and delivering an outstanding coffee experience. We are seeking individuals with a deep appreciation for coffee, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for creating memorable moments for our valued guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Utilize your expertise in coffee brewing techniques to deliver the highest quality beverages to our customers.
- Prepare small snacks like panini, fried bread, toast, etc., to complement our coffee offerings.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking their orders, offering suggestions, and answering any inquiries they may have.
- Operate the cash register and handle monetary transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee station, dining area, and restrooms, following established hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and a positive work environment.
- Contribute to the overall café ambiance by creating an inviting atmosphere and engaging with customers to build relationships and foster customer loyalty.
- Stay up to date with coffee trends, new product offerings, and promotions, actively sharing knowledge with customers.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Barista or Cashier, preferably in well-known coffee chains such as Pret, Starbucks or Costa Coffee.
- Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and latte art.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work in various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A positive and energetic attitude, with a genuine passion for creating delightful coffee experiences.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and operating the cash register.
- Food Safety certification is a plus.
