Radiographer Student Helper
Band 2 £23,362 - £25,368 per annum
3 month summer post (June to August – dates negotiable)
Plus Distant Islands Allowance £1279 per annum
37.5 hours per week
We are looking a highly motivated, hard working, enthusiastic Student Radiographer to work in our busy radiology department over the summer months. This is not a formal student placement but would be suitable for radiography students who may wish to gain additional experience in all aspects of working in a general radiology department.
You will have the opportunity to work in a ‘state of the art’ department with a friendly team of radiographers and sonographers dedicated to providing a high quality radiographic service to the Western Isles population.
Together with undertaking general clerical and chaperoning duties, you will have the opportunity to observe qualified radiographers working with DR, CR and Digital Fluoroscopy, Multislice CT, National PACS and Carestream RIS.
NHS Western Isles Radiology is supported by an innovative Radiology Obligate Network with NHS Borders. This provides out of hours cover for the Western Isles substantive or locum consultant together with second opinion and peer support for our clinical staff.
