Introduction to the Goods Receiver Role.
As Goods Receiver you will be responsible for the accurate inventory of all goods coming into the hotel. You will be vigilant whilst overseeing the management, purchasing, and replenishment of goods across the hotel to ensure maintenance of stock levels and quality of goods. Your tasks will include but will not be limited to:.
- Receiving, inspecting, and verifying the quality and quantity of goods delivered to the hotel.
- Accurately recording and documenting all received items and ensuring they are properly stored and organised.
- Coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to deliveries.
- Maintaining inventory control and stock rotation, ensuring proper storage conditions and minimising waste.
- Collaborating with the other departments to process invoices and reconcile delivery discrepancies.
- Following all health and safety and food hygiene laws.
- Assisting with stock takes as and when required.
- Assisting in placing orders with our chosen suppliers.
