Job Description
We are recruiting for a Warehouse/Admin Assistant for our warehouse in Barking, London.
The main duties & responsibilities will include: -
- Loading, unloading and Stocking
- Correctly merchandising and maintaining stock levels according to requirements and participating in stocktaking as required
- Providing a high quality customer service in the selling of goods
- Picking & Packing Orders and complete all processes until Dispatch
- Be able to Multi task and manage workload
- Be able to learn New Products & Pricing/discount Strategies quickly
- Have the ability to carry out basic clerical duties also such as invoicing and data input.
You must have the ability to learn all aspects of the role quickly after training and meet the physical demands of the role. It is also essential that you have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a methodical and tidy manner.
You should have experience of the following:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand and forklift truck
- Sorting and counting stock
- Moving stock to storage areas
- Picking and packing orders Keeping work areas clean and tidy
- Answering queries from commercial customers or members of the public
- Good customer service skills
- The ability to complete records sheets and paperwork and make invoices etc.
- Good team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised
- Good communication and customer care skills
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- An awareness of health & safety issues
- Previous experience of working in an outdoor/warehouse environment
- Minimum 1 years’ experience required in similar field
- Work will be 6 days a week.
Optional Skills:
- Full UK Clean driving licence for a minimum of 2 years & Aged Over 25 is a bonus
- Basic Knowledge of Arabic/Urdu is a bonus
Salary is between 18k-23k depending on experience plus other incentives.
