GAC UK is looking for Multimodal Freight candidates for the role of Operations Coordinator to be based in Manchester. Could it be you?

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to be based at our Manchester office.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Ensuring shipments are invoiced within agreed timeframe

Ensuring quotations are issued in line with customer requirements, product guidelines and documented per branch process

Supplier invoice disputes are actioned within agreed timeframes and as per company guideline

Timely preparation of job files (inclusive invoicing and cost accrual) in readiness for approval by line manager
- Timely approval of Supplier Invoices

Coordinating with customers and provide freight forwarding services as required

Coordinating with overseas offices and network partners
- Observing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) agreed for customer / product / tradelane

Processing bookings via GAC in-house freight management system

Coordinating UK Import and Export Customs clearances in line with government guidance
The following skills are desirable:
- Qualifications: DG Awareness, Aviation Security (Airfreight Operations)

Minimum 3 years’ experience within Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry

Good computing skills, including all areas of Microsoft Office

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maximise sales opportunities
- Able to provide a high standard of customer service at all times

Knowledge of Customs Declaration Service (CDS)

Knowledge of ASM Sequoia
