We are currently seeking to recruit a caring, committed and reliable Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Clann House for night shifts, full or part time hours available
Westheath Care Homes (Staffing) Ltd provides care staff to five care homes owned and operated by a private company, these are located in Bodmin, Lanivet, Lewannick (Nr Launceston) and Bude area, all of which have obtained and maintained a ‘Good’ CQC rating.
We provide high standards of person-centred care to a wide range of elderly and disabled people with a dedicated team of Care assistants and a strong team of experienced managers that have a high number of years in working in care. Following an interview, an Enhanced DBS check will be carried out by the company on you prior to final confirmation of a job offer (this will be paid for by the company - but maybe repaid to the company should you leave within a 3-month period), you will then be enrolled into our induction programme, this will be followed by shadow shifts, enabling you to become confident in your new role.
Previous experience is desired, however, if you are new to care, we provide full training within our induction programme.
Duties will consist of providing person centred care for our residents through a range of care and support services, encouraging Independence in a dignified and compassionate manner.
Our shifts at Clann House are between the hours of 07.00 hrs (7am) to 14.00 hrs (2pm) and from 14.00 hrs (2pm) to 21.00 hrs (9pm). Night shifts 20:45 (8.45pm) – 07:00 (7am)

· Ability to work as a team member as well as own initiative when required
· Must be able to work every other weekend
· Provide cover when other team members take annual leave or are absent for other reasons
· Ability to communicate and interact well with residents and others
· Experience in health and social care is preferable not but essential
· NVQ level 2 or above in Health and social Care - or willingness to achieve
