Job Introduction
As a STAR Expert, you will be an ambassador for one of the world’s leading brands working for a global company. You will guide the customer through their journey as the first point of contact in the dealership, helping them to understand the benefits of the Mercedes-Benz brand.
As an ideal candidate, you will thrive in a customer centric environment and have the passion and enthusiasm to deliver a great customer experience. You will have the ability to confidently inspire and excite our customers.
You will offer non-pressurised advice and provide support with any technical questions. Don’t worry if you don’t have previous automotive experience as this is not essential; full training will be provided. You will receive excellent training from both Mercedes Benz and Inchcape, which will provide you with the product knowledge, industry understanding and everything you need to ensure you are an ’expert’ in all things Mercedes-Benz.

Role Responsibilities
- Proactively approaching customers in the showroom to offer help and advice
- Proactively supporting customers through Online Showroom processes
- Providing customers with relevant information on all Mercedes-Benz products and services available through the retailer including aftersales
- Responsible for keeping up to date with the latest Mercedes Benz product information
- Planning and managing the test drive process with the sales executive and offering product insight during the test drive around the customer requirements
- Understanding where the customers are in their journey and assessing their needs and requirements, with a view to passing any relevant information onto the sales executive/manager, keeping the customer experience smooth at all times
- Making sure that the showroom is always presentable for customers at all times
- Working closely with After Sales colleagues to provide an excellent vehicle hand-over experience for our customers
- Responsible for customer connectivity to the Mercedes Benz digital platform
- Involvement in showroom and launch events
Skills & Experience Required
- Ability to provide a first class customer service with energy and enthusiasm
- Previous experience in a customer environment would be preferable but not essential
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Understanding of digital and social media
- A passion for helping customers and an eagerness to share that passion with others
- Ability to work autonomously, whilst still having a team-oriented way of working
- Always keen to help and support others
